Guided Plantation Tour

If you want to learn more about the story of tea, you can join us on one of our regular plantation tours. Hear about the trials and tribulations of our extraordinary adventure while learning about tea's origins, how it's grown and how it's processed. Returning to our Tea House and sampling one of our teas completes the journey from crop to cup...an experience not to be missed!

A Day in the Plantation - Green Tea Making Workshops 2025

An absolute must for all tea lovers! We are delighted to offer participants the unique opportunity to spend a day with us here at Dartmoor Estate Tea learning the art of tea making. The relevance of each process will be explored before we head out into the plantation to harvest the leaf, or into the micro-factory to sort, pan roast and then hand roll it. Following a light lunch we will move onto the final stage of drying and finally we will celebrate with a taste test to examine the specific flavour profile and qualities we have achieved!

Dartmoor Tea Ceremony & Introduction to Fine Tea Preparation and Appreciation

A fabulous entry to the world of fine tea drinking and serving. Beginning with our Dartmoor Tea Ceremony, participants will be able taste some of our own teas before moving onto exploring tea and tea ware from around the world. Using simple techniques, the flavour and qualities of each tea will be revealed, enabling attendees to develop their skills in the preparation and appreciation of fine tea.
